Swallowing Problems

Does CHOKING = SWALLOWING DISORDER?

With no swallowing difficulty, we may still choke if we eat too fast. However, for those demented, stroked or spastic people, they may choke due to the deterioration of swallowing ability.

Swallowing disorder can lead to dehydration, malnutrition, weight losting and even pneumonia. Early diagnosis and treatment of swalllowing difficulty is important to ones health.
